River v's Stillwater – your choice

Smeaton’s Lakes is a fishing venue on the outskirts of Nottingham near Newark which is also a caravan park. There is a choice of fishing options available, you can pick from a selection of lakes and also some pegs on the mighty Trent:

The Coarse Lakes – they have 3 lakes which are stocked with a wide range of species. These are well established waters and are more mature than many of the commercials you may be used to fishing. The waters are called Reed Lake, Burrows Lake, and Bingham Pond.

The Carp Lake – this water is stocked with common, mirror and leather carp of all sizes – the largest of these run into the low 30s.

River Trent – there are 7 pegs on offer here. These are well known for producing some big chub and barbel. If that is where you want to fish then it is advisable to book the pegs in advance. Night fishing is available on these pegs.
