Monk Lakes is a very large fishery and offers around 45 acres of water to go at. Set in 120 acres of Kent countryside, you should have a relaxing day in these peaceful surroundings. The fishing choices include:
2,000m of river bank along the River Beult – this is a great natural venue which will reward the skilled angler. In winter this offers great pike sport.
Match Lake 1 – a 44 peg mixed species lake which offers convenient fishing and the chance for a big weight
Match Lake 2 – known by many as “The Barbel Lake” this is a 46 peg lake which is packed with fish
Match Lake 3 – a 3 acre, 45 peg lake which has some big lumps lurking in the depths – use strong tackle!
Match Lake 4 – a smaller 29 peg lake which is well stocked with Carp, Barbel, Bream and Tench
Bridges Lake – a natural lake around 16 acres in size. It contains a large head of carp and features some great reed and lilly beds
Puma Lake – a 10 acre lake featuring a number of island features to fish to. Great sport is on offer here with lots of carp waiting in the water
Mallard Lake – you need to pre-book pegs on here, with only 10 pegs available there is a lot of demand for a peg on here. This is the specimen lake with carp that run up to 45lb
The venue offers a very wide choice of pegs for any disabled anglers – lottery funding recently helped add 80 new pegs.
Onsite facilities include:
- Cafe with a seating area – open on weekends in winter but each day in the summer
- Men’s, Women’s and disabled toilets
- Bait shop – which also sells a small range of tackle
- Ample car parking with short walks to most pegs
