A family friendly venue which is perfect for beginners

Ado’s Cemo Pond near Scawthorpe and Bentley is a small family orientated fishing pond which is popular with anglers of all abilities. If you pop down for a session you will see a good mixture of people on the bank, juniors, adults and professionals.

The venue hosts two weekly matches on Thursdays and Sundays. In the half term school holidays they also hold junior matches. If you want to know how the venue is fishing then Ade will be able to let you know which methods and pegs are doing the damage.

In the warmer months try a surfaced fished dog biscuit, in the past this has been proven to be a deadly method for the bigger carp.

Rules and Restrictions

  • No keepnets
  • Barbless hooks only max size 10
  • Max breaking strain of line 10lb
  • Groundbait through a pole cup or feeder only
  • No boilies
  • No fires
  • No litter
  • No fish to be held in rags
  • All anglers must possess a landing net and disgorger
  • Children to be accompanied by adults

Fishing at Ado’s Cemo Pond is priced at the following:

Adult day tickets: £5
Concessions day tickets: £4

Night fishing: £10

The pond is closed on a Sunday for matches. Mondays are not available for fishing, the pond is closed for maintenance.
