The Lower Broadheath Fishery is a venue that dates back to the mid 1970s. There are 6 waters to explore, which offer a selection of coarse fish to target. Many people know the venue as the “Jam Factory” – there used to be a jam factory at the top of the road. Rest assured, if you have heard people talking about that venue, then this is the same fishery.
Here’s a run down of the 6 pools:
Old Pool – the original water, now a specimen water with carp into the low 20s.
Sycamore Pool – stocked with a mixture of carp, tench and break – match tactics will be the best option here.
Willow Pool – another match lake where nets of over 200lbs are on the cards. Take lots of bait!
Ash Pool – a carpers delight with lots of doubles – perfect if you need a confidence boosting session.
Elgar Pool – the smallest lake, but one of the most popular. You should be guaranteed plenty of bites all year round
Island Pool – a great club match venue where the carp run into the low 30s!
The venue may be interesting to a wide range of anglers as they allow the use of keepnets. Get ready for a landing net busting, magazine style shot at the end of the day to show off your catch.
