The Belvoir lakes offer some fantastic fishing, along with the truly picturesque backdrop of Belvoir Castle. Most methods will result in putting some fish in the net, you may need to fine tune your approach depending on the weather or time of year. This is a very well established venue, which means it is a nice alternative to the many commercials in the area. The lakes are stocked with a range of species, so you shouldn’t expect to catch stockie carp all day.
In total there are three lakes:
- Upper Lake – around 12 acres in size
- Lower Lake – also around 12 acres in size – it contains a big head of carp up to 30lbs with a large number of doubles
- Small lake – approx 3/4 of an acre which has been designed as a beginner/junior lake
