Alderfen Fisheries is situated in Wroot, North Lincolnshire, it offers a great day out for specimen hunters and coarse anglers. There are three lakes in total:
Wyndham Lake – the oldest water on the fishery, this is a specimen lake which offers just 16 pegs – with 5 acres of water, that means you should have a lot of options in each swim. There are lots of 20lbs+ carp in here, but as you may expect, these fish may take some tempting into the net. This lake will reward the angler who puts the effort in, certainly quality over quantity when it comes to totalling the fish up at the end of the session.
Pads Lake – another specimen lake which is around 3 acres in size. This lake has a good head of mirror and common carp, anyone who is just getting into specimen angling should have a session on here. There should be plenty of bites, so great for picking up some experience and fine tuning those skills.
Gate Pool – a match style lake which is around 3 acres in size and offers 30 pegs. A session on here should result in a pretty big haul, there is a wide range of species to target, the carp average around 3lbs but do reach double figures.
