Wold Farm Fisheries is a cracking fishing venue in Northamptonshire. The lakes are situated in a 70 acre estate, so if you spend a lot of time fishing commercials, Wold Farm will be something of a change. The mature surroundings will provide the setting for a great day out – one with plenty of fish action! Wold Farm offers a fantastic choice of 4 lakes:
The Moat – A mature lake of around 1.5 acres in size. There are 20 pegs on here, which all have a range of features to fish to, there are 3 islands too. The lake is stocked with a wide range of species, if the fishing is good you will get through plenty of bait. Catches of 100lb plus are pretty common.
The Oaks – A lovely 2 acre lake featuring a small central island. Nearly any peg on here is capable of 150lbs of fish, so get ready for a busy session. The carp will boost weights, but silverfish will provide great sport on colder days.
Wold Lake – This is the kind of lake specialist anglers have dreams about. The sizeable 2 acre water contains only 6 pegs, so you don’t have to worry about some noddy on the next peg. The water features carp and catfish that run into the mid thirties, surprisingly there are also some double figure trout too!
The Islands – If you are introducing someone new to the sport or if you need a confidence boosting session, then this lake is for you. A bite a chuck is the order of the day on here, catching a range of oriental species, such as ghost carp, koi carp, orfe, goldfish, roach and bream.
Onsite facilities include clean toilets, a tackle shop, snack bar and cooked breakfasts at the weekend. Tuition is also available if needed.
