Top silverfish action

Lake John Fishery in Waltham Abbey, Essex has a choice of two lakes and is regraded by many to be one of the best silverfish venues in region. As you arrive at the Epping Forest location you will have a choice of two lakes at the fishery:

Top Lake – the largest of the two at 2.5 acres, this is stocked with a wide range of species. There are some carp in here too, and you’d be surprised that they run into to the 40s!

Bottom Lake – a smaller match style lake that is 14m wide, so everyone should have some far side feature to fish to.

There is a cafe on site during the summer that serves a selection of hot and cold snacks up until lunchtime at weekends. Lake John Fishery is a popular venue with the matchmen, so check in advance if there is a booking to avoid your plans being changed upon arrival!
