Wyreside Lakes Fishery in Bay Horse is set in 120 acres of peaceful farmland. Located at the foot of the Bowland Fells in Lancashire, you will certainly spend a day here in a relaxing and tranquil area – hopefully catching a few fish in the process too!
In total there are 6 different waters:
Wyre Lake – an 18 acres water which offers great sport for carp and pike anglers. The water is around 1.5 acres in size and the depth can range from 2-12ft – depending on the time of year this will effect where the fish are likely to be found. The lake record on here is just shy of 40lbs.
River Lake – smaller 1.5 acre coarse lake which is stocked with a good number of carp and other species including roach, bream, tench and perch. This was the first lake on the complex, so it is a very well established water.
Bantons Lake – a large 11 acres lake with a large head of carp. With just 17 pegs, there will be plenty of water to go at. There are over 200 carp in here which run into the late 30s.
Fox’s Lakes – a 4 acre water stocked with tench, chub, perch, rudd, bream and carp.
Sunnyside Lake 1 – a lake described as a “smaller lake” – however this is still over 4 acres in size! The lake provides good carp and pike fishing, there are nearly 200 carp in her which run to around the 30lbs bracket.
Sunnyside Lake 2 – a water that is around 11 acres in size and offers carp and pike fishing. The lake contains around 200 carp and has 20 pegs.
The on-site facilities include:
- Bar and Restaurant – the Fisherman’s Rest offer a great selection of home cooked food including a great full English.
- Caravan & Camping – take the family along and stay for a few days!
