A large but welcoming water on the outskirts of Milton Keynes

Furtzon lake is a very large 70+ acre water with an equally big reputation. If you prefer fishing at more traditional and established waters then this is just what the doctor ordered! This large water is located in quite an urban area, as there are lots of other users on the complex, it’s a popular location for walkers, joggers, bird watchers and model boat enthusiasts.

The water is stocked with a wide range of species. There is a big head of silverfish, if you land on the roach or bream you could have a session that you will remember for a good number of years. The venue is a popular choice for carp anglers, an average session should produce multiple runs and there’s a chance to bag a 30lb+ beast. Night fishing is available if that is your thing.

The lake is located next door to the Milton Keynes Bowl. It would be good to check what events are on at the Bowl, it could be a much noisier and busier fishing session than you intended if a large concert is on!
