If you pay a visit to Wood Lane Fishery in Iver, Buckinghamshire, the first choice of the day will be to decide between fishing the match lake or the specimen lake – it doesn’t seem like they spent too long working out what to call them!
Match Lake – As the name suggests, this lake is heavily stocked with a range of mixed coarse species. The winning record for this lake is well over 250lbs, so if you get on the fish you could get through plenty of bait!
Specimen Lake – As the name of this lake suggests, it is more suited to specimen style fishing. There several carp in here that run into the low 30’s, but there are much larger numbers of 20’s.
The fishing here is pretty user friendly. The onsite facilities include toilets and a tackle shop. The pegs are well managed and offer good access for any disabled anglers.
