Ignore the name – There are two coarse lakes here!

Hatchlands Trout Farm is located in Rattery, South Brent – just a short distance from Totnes, Devon. Don’t be put off by the name, despite being branded up as a trout venue, the fishery has three lakes in total, 2 of these lakes are stocked with coarse species. The lakes at the venue are fed by the River Harbourne and the fishery is set within a lovely 16 acre natural valley which is a haven for a wide range of wildlife – assuming you catch a few fish you should enjoy a relaxing day in lovely surroundings.

The lakes on the venue are referred to as the top and bottom lakes:

Top lake – this lake is stocked with a big head of silver fish and the occasional carp. A great venue for beginners who are learning the sport. This water should produce fish all year round.

Bottom lake – the more specimen lake of the two. This is stocked with a good head of carp which run into the mid teens.

On site there is plenty of car parking, a toilet block and a small shop.
