Another national favourite fishing venue

Barston Lakes in Solihull is another one of the big, nationally renowned waters. There are so many tales of big catches at Barston, they could make a whole websites worth of content alone! The water is a big hit with matchmen, specimen hunters and pleasure fishermen – a clear sign the fishing here is spot on.

The main attraction at the venue is the aptly named 25 acre Barson Lake. This piece of water has 124 pegs, most of which have parking fairly close, but, it is recommended that you take a barrow. Get to your peg fresh, save the energy in your arms for hauling in the fish.

Onsite there is a clubhouse which is shared with the golf course. In here you can buy food and drinks at the bar, you can also freshen up in the showers. Fishy clothes aren’t allowed in the bar, so leave the bib ‘n’ braces outside!
