Located in Fazeley, Tamworth, a trip to Bonehill Mill Fishery should be a day to remember for a while. There is a choice of 3 waters that all offer fantastic sport.
Dale’s Pool – The largest water which is around 6 acres in size and has 42 pegs. The water is stocked with a good number of carp and slivers. There are lots of decent sized carp, so make sure you use strong enough tackle if you want to get them onto the bank. The lake is fairly shallow, which can mean the carp zoom off sideways when you hook into them. The margins can produce later on in the day, the carp will move in over piles of bait. During the winter months the big head of silver fish should be a good target.
Ashley’s Pool – A match style water, which is just over an acre in size with 26 pegs. Pole is likely to be the main approach, but pellet waggler can work in the warmer months.
Sophie’s Pool – A canal style 14 peg water.
The venue is used for numerous matches through the year, so it might be worth checking in advance before you head over to see where you are able to fish. Through the year there are different festivals and league matches. If you fancy a challenge then you should consider signing up, match weights at the venue are decent through the year.
