A lovely fishery where you can enjoy great sport

The Angel of the North Carp and Coarse Fishing Lakes are located in the middle of a 64 acre farm near Gateshead in County Durham. It is a truly relaxing fishing spot, surrounded by the peaceful countryside.

There is a choice of three lakes at the venue:

  • Bowes Lake – offers around 3 acres of carp fishing
  • Lookout Lake – mixed coarse fishing with over 4 acres of water
  • Bassett’s Pond – a much smaller lake packed with coarse fish

Rules and Restrictions

  • No other feed pellets to be used except Angel’s own
  • No feeding of sweetcorn, No feeding of luncheon meat (only as hook bait)
  • No bloodworm or joker
  • No nut based bait
  • No powerbait
  • Oct to April no oil based bait of any kind including trout pellets
  • No Cat or Dog or any animal (feed, meat, complete)
  • No Floating or sinking biscuit
  • No bread, punched, sinking, floating or crumb
  • No artificial or plastic baits
  • No floating bait (Except fly fishing on Bowes July & August)
  • No boilies of any size or description,no pop up boilies
  • Hook baits allowed are maggot, caster, worm, paste, sweetcorn, expander and hookable pellets, luncheon meat cubes

Adults

Full day £12.00 (+£5 for 2 rods)
Half day £7.00 (+£5 for 2 rods)

Concessions

Full day £10.00 (+£4 for 2 rods)
Half day £6.00 (+£3 for 2 rods)
